Academic Chronology

Mr. Rahman completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET) in December 2010 and obtained his Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering (WRE) from BUET in 2024.

Professional Track Record

Md. Saidur Rahman has been serving at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since 2011, currently holding the position of Junior Specialist. Over more than 14 years of professional experience, he has developed deep expertise in hydrological data analysis and processing, surface water and groundwater resource assessment, and mathematical modelling in Surface water and Groundwater.

He has significantly contributed to feasibility studies, irrigation development planning, and water resource assessments, including projects like the Feasibility Study for Augmentation, Conservation and Wise Use of Surface Water Resources through Dredging of the Upstream of Teesta Barrage and Bank Protection Work of the Teesta River in Kurigram District, Study on Aquifer Mapping and Groundwater Resource Assessment for Management of Eco-friendly Sustainable Agricultural Development in Bangladesh, and Updating Feasibility Study for Kurigram Irrigation Project (North and South Unit)-Component-1.
