Academic Chronology


Moonmoon Biswas completed her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Water Resources Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2018. She has strengthened her technical foundation through a series of professional trainings focused on hydrological and groundwater modelling, spatial data analysis, and environmental assessment.

Professional Track Record


Moonmoon Biswas has been serving as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since February 2019, where she has developed extensive experience in hydrological analysis, surface water and GIS-based modelling. She has actively contributed to numerous projects focusing on wetland management, irrigation efficiency, and feasibility studies for water sector development. Her work spans tasks such as spatial analysis, time-series data processing, conceptual and numerical model development, and post-processing of model outputs. Moonmoon has been involved in supporting model development using tools like MIKE 11 and NAM, along with GIS-based analysis for basin and project-level planning. Her efforts have contributed to improving the understanding of water resources availability and sustainable irrigation management across diverse hydrological regions of Bangladesh.
