Academic Chronology
Kamrul Islam completed his Bachelor of Science in Geology at the University of Dhaka (DU) in 2007 and his Master of Science in Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology at DU in 2009. He has been enrolled in a PhD program in the Department of Geology at the same university since 2022.
Professional Track Record
Kamrul Islam is a seasoned Hydrogeologist with over a decade of experience in groundwater investigation, modeling, and resource management. His expertise spans hydrogeological field investigations, well design and development, aquifer testing, groundwater monitoring, water quality investigation and data analysis and modelling using advanced tools like ArcGIS, Surfer, Aquifer Test Pro, AQTESOLV, RockWorks, Hydro GeoAnalyst, MODFLOW and MIKE SHE etc. Kamrul has significantly contributed to various high-impact projects across Bangladesh, including groundwater resource assessment, sustainable agricultural development, and environmental impact studies. His work is underscored by a strong academic background, with an MS in Hydrogeology and Environmental Geology from the University of Dhaka, complemented by multiple research publications in renowned journals.
