Academic Chronology

Md. Mahmudul Hasan Arif completed his Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Civil Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) in September 2022. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Water Resources Engineering (WRE) at Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET).

Professional Track Record

Md. Mahmudul Hasan Arif has been working as a Junior Engineer at the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) since February 2023. He is engaged in a range of multidisciplinary projects focusing on hydrological data analysis, water resources planning, and assisting feasibility studies for sustainable water management. His core responsibilities include primary and secondary data acquisition, stakeholder consultation, Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), GIS-based mapping, and technical drafting using AutoCAD and he has played a key role in evaluating present irrigation efficiency through field tests including Seepage-Percolation studies, installation of perforated pipes, and training gauge readers to collect long-term performance data.

Md. Mahmudul Hasan Arif has enhanced his expertise through training in Groundwater Modelling at the Institute of Water Modelling, and he has participated in prominent conference.
