Academic Chronology

Mr. Al Reyan Nirob obtained his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Dhaka in 2023.

Professional Track Record

Mr. Nirob joined the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM) in 2024 as a Junior Engineer in the Survey and Data Division. Since joining, he has been actively involved in a wide range of hydrographic, topographic and Aerial survey works, supporting national infrastructure, water resources, flood management, railway, coastal, and disaster risk management projects.

He has hands-on experience in field survey monitoring, coordination with survey teams, and quality control of hydro-morphological data. His technical expertise includes processing and analysis of bathymetric data, cross-sections, water level and discharge data, LiDAR point clouds, UAV-based photogrammetry, and GIS datasets. He has consistently contributed to accurate data preparation for feasibility studies, preliminary designs, hydrological and morphological modelling, and environmental assessments.

Mr. Nirob is proficient in industry-standard software such as Hypack, Hydropro, Pix4D, ArcGIS/ArcMap, AutoCAD, Excel, DJI Terra, AutoClean, and WinRiver II, and is familiar with handling data generated from ADCP, RTK GNSS, total stations, UAV and LiDAR. He prepares survey outputs, processes datasets, and assists with field coordination.
