Ms. Sarwat did her graduation in Civil Engineering from BUET in 1992 and later completed M Engg in Hydroinformatics from IHE, Delft, The Netherlands in 1997 with specialization in the computational hydraulics.
Working experience covers the field of hydrology, hydraulics, morphology and modelling applied to Computational Hydraulics, River hydraulics and Water Resources Development Engineering with more than 14 years of professional experience that includes research and studies using mathematical models. Hydrodynamic and morphological modelling experience for 10 years using modelling system MIKE11, MIKE21, MIKE21C of DHI, Denmark. Experience also covers participation in externally funded clientele consultancy projects involving preparation of technical proposals, assuring technical quality and timely completion, final technical and financial reporting, preparation of technical proposals on the modelling aspects of water sector consultancy projects with a view to winning and ensuring technical quality.
Ms. Sarwat Jahan has obtained several professional training both at home and abroad on mathematical modeling, river morphology, business development, skill in proposal and report writing etc. Ms. Sarwat has presented and attended a number of national and international seminars and conferences. She owns a few publications on sediment transport, Bridge hydraulics and River training works along the major rivers of Bangladesh using mathematical hydraulic models.
