Mr. Pankaj Kumar Maitra obtained Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from BUET in 1992.
Mr. Pankaj Kumar Maitra has more than 16 years professional experience. He started his carrier as consultant in the North West Hydraulic Consultant Ltd, as Assistant Planning Engineer for the Small Scale Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation (SSFCDI) Project under BWDB and continued up to end of 1994. He worked for Flood Action Plan (FAP21/22) as Local Monitoring Expert and continued till joining IWM in 2005. He exclusively worked there in engineering survey for the construction of Bank Protection Revetment Structures, monitoring the behavior of Bank Protection Structures under the flow attack of Jamuna to make a guideline for standardized Bank Protection Structure and controlling underwater works through hydrographic survey using satellite based digital equipment. He also conducted several training Programme for BWDB engineer on hydrographic survey. He joined Institute of Water Modelling in November 2005. Since then he is working as a Mid Level Staff in Survey & Data Division. He lead a number of large survey projects involving Topographic Survey, Mapping, Hydrographic Survey and Hydrological Data Collection. He is a member of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB)
Mr. Pankaj Kumar Maitra is trained on Planning & Design of Small Scale Drainage and Irrigation Structure organized by North West Hydraulic Consultants Ltd in 1993 and on Design & Implementation of Bank Protection Structure organized by FAP-21.
