Ms. Ismat completed her graduation in Civil Engineering from BUET in 2003 and M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering from the same university in 2009. She also completed a six months Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management in Institute of Disaster Management And Vulnerability Studies under Dhaka University.
Ms. Ismat started her professional career in February 2003 as an Assistant Engineer (temporary basis) in PWD and worked there for 4 months. She joined in a Construction Company named National Development Engineers Ltd (NDE) in June 2003 for 3 months. As a Water Resource Engineer, she has developed her professional career in Institution of Water Modelling since November 2003. Since then she has been involved in many feasibility and pre-feasibility studies, master plan studies of water supply and drainage in urban areas, water quality assessment, inundation map for flooding, impact assessment of climate change etc. Her responsibilities include data processing, 1-D & 2-D model (rainfall-runoff, hydrodynamic, drainage, water quality, watershed basin) development, result analysis and interpretation. She is capable of project supervision, report writing, training to other professionals (home and abroad), and newly recruited engineers. She successfully completed many training from home and abroad.
Ms. Ismat has participated in lot of trainings as resource person as well as trainee in Bangladesh & abroad. She has attended a number of National and International Seminars and Conferences in country and aboard and has some publications to his credit on mathematical modelling.
