Md. Hazrat Ali obtained Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh Institute of Technology, BIT (presently Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, RUET), Rajshahi in 1998 and completed his Maters in Integrated Water Resources Management from University of Applied Science Cologne, Germany in 2006 with great distinction in dissertation entitled " Development of a Model as a Decision Making Tool for Irrigation Management – A Case Study in Teesta Barrage Project, Bangladesh" which covers wide areas of water resources management including water resource assessment, crop water requirement, preparation of irrigation scheduling, find out the bottlenecks of the irrigation system and remedial measures, development of operation rule curve for optimal utilization of water, and analysis of Management strategy during shortage of water.
Mr. Ali has 13 years experience in the field of computational hydraulics, hydrodynamics, computational hydrogeology, irrigation, groundwater and drainage management. He is a member of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and member of University of Applied Science Cologne, Germany Alumni Association.
Mr. Ali has participated in lot of trainings as resource person as well as trainee in country and outside of Bangladesh. He has more than 5 publications both in domestic and international journals/seminars/conferences. He participated in a number of trainings, seminars and workshops. In some of them he was resource personnel. In addition to his fluency in Bengali and English, he is good in German Languages.
