Mr. Md. Ashraf Ali Khan did his Masters of Social Science in Public Administration from Dhaka University in 1996 and Bachelor of Social Science with Honors in the same discipline from the same university in 1995. He did MBA (Major in HRM) from Stamford University Bangladesh in 2008 with an outstanding achievement.
Mr. Khan has a professional experience of more than 15 years in the field of Human Resource Management. He also possesses expertise in publication, documentation and communication. He has been playing key role in carrying out HR management for IWM and working as Manager, HRD and Unit Head.
Under Netherlands Government Fellowship Programme (NFP), Mr. Khan received a month-long training titled Training for Impact at Maastricht School of Management in Netherlands in June 2012. He also received a weeklong training on HRM for Executives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2010, month-long professional training on Human Resources Management from IBA, Dhaka University and a short-term training on Designing Structured Interview in 2009 from IBA. Mr. Khan also participated in the professional training programme organized by Engineering Staff College, IEB, Dhaka. He has wide experience in designing and facilitating training and development programmes. He has authored around 60 books of fiction and stories including juveniles to his personal credit. Mr Khan is an Associate Member of Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM).
Training and Capacity Building Programs:
Recruitment Management: Analyzed staffing requirement and directed the recruitment process with effective interviewing techniques. Conducted interviews for all management and professional positions and attended as HR representatives and issued hiring recommendations. Assisted newly-recruited and existing staff and provided them with information regarding their service benefits and company policies. Organized orientation programs for newly recruited staff to motivate and educate them concerning organizational goals. Coordinating mentorship programmes for the newly recruited professionals.
Promotion:Planned and managed employeesâ₠salary compensation, promotion, and occasional job evaluation. Designed new compensation policies for employees and recommended modification as per requirement.
